These are shots of several pieces of my antique toy collection. Each piece belonged to a member of my family at some point and as you can see they are all very loved. Also, the bear might not be an antique - I think he may have belonged to my sister - I can’t remember. She is not old by any means. LYLAS Eleanor!

Things you might see in Texas

My friend drove me and KC around some areas outside of Austin that I had never explored before. The day was hands down one of the best days this year - The weather was perfect, I got really close to a cow without getting killed, and took KC’s portrait in the bluebonnet. Seriously, what more could I ask for?

Hello there internet. I know it has been too long since my last post. We had a wonderful surprise on Tuesday of this week. SNOW. Lots of it (by our standards). It snowed off and on all day and was such a nice change from gray skies and sunny days. For those of you not familiar with Austin weather it doesn’t really prescribe to the seasonal calendar. We have summer, hot summer, indian summer, and during the months of “winter” it vacillates from warm to cold.

Actual snow tends to stall things down here. People freak out. People don’t drive well. I can appreciate it (and drive in it thank you very much) because I have lived in areas that accumulate actual inches and feet of snow. I miss it sometimes. I love to play in it (hate to get hit with it) and love watching my dog roll around and make snow angels. It’s a nice break from reality.

Long time coming - If anyone knows of a better software (that isn’t too expensive) to create time lapse videos please let me know (I used Quicktime Pro). Enjoy!

This marks my last post under the POTD heading. One year of photos. Wow. When I started this project I had no idea what I was getting into. I know that sounds cliche but it’s the truth. I swear. I speak truth. I will be posting a few POTD goodies over the next week - a video, a blurb, some gems I learned this year…Thanks for all who have stuck by me, gone with me on shoots, waited in the car while I freeze, encouraged me, critiqued me, and supported me. I am glad to be done but I will continue to post pictures (and take pictures!). For now - Bye.

I was looking for some peace, quiet, and ice on Saturday. I found all three at Bull Creek in the morning. It was pretty awesome. Except for the annoying teenage girls running around breaking nature; the day was just what I needed.
