I am Cate. I am a photographer.
Thank you for visiting. I have been taking pictures for years but only recently have I decided to take the risk and make something more of my photography. Though I was originally trained in film photography today I choose the digital format. I shoot with a Canon 50D at the moment and have a variety of different lenses. My current lens of choice is my Lensbaby Composer.
I enjoy photographing most everything but due to my love of the outdoors I tend to lean towards nature and light in my photographs. I currently have several photographic projects in the works. The largest project is more of a challenge to myself than anything. Starting in January of 2009 I set forth to take one photo every day for a year. This has been more challenging than any assignment I have every been handed. I keep track of my daily photographs on my blog. Some of the photos have been taken on a whim and allow you a glimpse into my life while other photos are meticulously planned out as works of art.
I am not ashamed to admit that I am not a purist when it comes to photography. Photoshop and Lightroom are my post processors of choice.
