POTD!!!

I can’t remember what these beads are called. They start off as small, hard, clear beads but when you add water they grow to the size of small marbles and are soft. I found them in the “plant” section of a local craft store. They were bought not with planting in mind but with photography. I tend to do that – buy things to photograph them; not to use them. I won’t spend more than a couple of dollars though – I am not that ridiculous. Well, I am that ridiculous but not with my money.

I have been very fortunate to meet several great artists/artisans over the past few weeks. Two of my favorites, Rita and Debra, make some beautiful and unique jewelry. I invested in one pair of earrings and was kindly gifted the second pair. If you are in the Austin area this weekend stop by the Oasis Gypsy market and stop by their booth. You will not be disappointed.
KCPOTD!!!
KC has a habit of laying on people if they are on the floor. She takes no note of her size and just flops down right in the rib/lung area. If you are lucky she will add in an armpit nuzzle for free.
KCPOTD!!!
KC sometimes likes to pretend that she has real business to do in the home office. Her business? She is committed to destroying already destroyed stuffed animals and leaving their innards all over the floor. She runs a very dirty business but is the best at what she does.

I purchased these wooden flowers over 7 years ago at the Salt Lake City Airport. They have survived 4 moves, several airplane trips, and my general clumsy nature. They are very delicately made out of what appears to be wood shavings, twine, paper, and dowels (for the stems). Each stem has about 4 flowers and stands about one and a half feet tall. They are perfect for me because I do not have to water them, feed them, or give them light. If you know where I can get some more please email me.

These are a few of the shots I took on Sunday during a mini-photo excursion to the Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Austin.
POTD!!!
I was informed that because he has a uni-brow this cicada is not freshly hatched. He was however, a little kamikaze. He kept dive bombing into my photos.
POTD!!!
Another stop motion time lapse movie film. Not as good as the first one due to wobbly table and people blockage. It does give you some idea about what goes on in and around the booth though.
POTD!!! featuring KC
I made this video using 213 still images from my DSLR. I’m pretty excited that it actually worked as I haven’t tried anything like this before. Woohoo! Go Me!
In my film debut I am preparing my photographs for hanging at the gypsy market booth I have on the weekends. It is very time consuming (and money consuming) to have a booth and finding a balance between work time and Cate time has been very difficult as of late. I’m not complaining. I would not have it any other way at the moment. I am very grateful that I am in a place right now that affords me the time and opportunity to take this chanced.
Enjoy the video – watch for KC she makes an appearance and then falls asleep. Oh, and in case you are wondering why I keep looking up (if you noticed) it was because I was also watching Fight Club. Great movie.
