KCPOTD!!! POTD!!!

I got my new business cards a few days ago and since I’m running low on time I had to combine the KCPOTD and POTD into one shot. Why am I low on time? Because the ref in the Celtics-Bulls game made a bad call and the game went into 3 overtimes. THREE. Todd and I went to grab a nice innocent drink after work and I brilliantly suggested we go to a sports bar. Oh YAY! The game is on…Hey! The game is STILL on…Okay, now this is getting ridiculous. I prefer Red Sox games but I have to say this was a pretty edge-of-the-seat kind of game. Too bad the ref was blind.
So back to the cards. They are actually mini-cards that I ordered through Moo (a service that links up with Flickr). There are 100 cards per pack and I got about 3-4 cards of each design. I thought it would be a good idea to have cards that showcased my many photographic talents…Photos of KC, Photos of Matt, and Photos of weird abstract stuff [and no, I don't consider the photos of my nephew to be "stuff", he is obviously in the weird abstract people category][he's not abstract, the shots of him are][he is also not weird]
KC was actually quite a patient model throughout our laborious photo shoot. She must have just been completely wiped out because she only moved if I physically moved her. It was like working with clay. The only problem was her feet. If I moved her feet at all she tried to flop over on her back and frankly I didn’t think that would make for a flattering angle. And yes, her eyes are closed in the last shot. Oh, and yes, that is a nice puddle of drool underneath her mouth.
KCPOTD!!!
KC’s allergies have been kicking her ass lately. Or at least they would be if she wasn’t so busy chewing on it herself. She’s a mess and thus the donut has come out of retirement and is now KC’s new best friend [she just doesn't know it yet].
I’ve also been giving her Benadryll daily. I’m not sure if it makes her less symptomatic or just so wicked tired that she sleeps through her itches. Who knows. It is a pain to give her the little pink pills though. She has become wizened in her old age and figured out how to hide them in her mouth flaps until I am not looking. She then spits them out under my desk or under my chair. I am not even kidding. Really, not kidding.
POTD!!!
This picture opportunity presented itself as I was cleaning up from the photos I had been taking earlier in the evening. Sometimes it’s really hard to put the camera away!
I have learned something very important over the past few months of shooting pictures; step back and open your eyes and look around. [even the one that is all squinty from being stuck to the viewfinder] Sometimes it’s easy to be so completely focused on what is right in front of you that you miss out on a great shot. I’m not saying that you should be willing to compromise your photographic vision but you should be willing to add to it.
In case you were wondering…Here are a few of the shots from earlier in the evening. I decided that I want to make the glycerin/food coloring drops into a series so I was expanding my vision and using green this time.
KCPOTD!!!
She’s all tucked in and ready for bed. I wonder where Todd and I will sleep?

This photo was taken from inside my car.
A wicked storm blew through early this morning and since I have a bad habit of leaving my car windows down the interior of my car was soaked. Soaked, not moist, not damp; soaked. There was a quarter inch of rain in the cup holder (which is in the center console). The driver’s side seat, floor mats, and back seat were seeping water. Sigh. I am an idiot.
You would think that since this has happened to me before I would have learned not to leave my windows down at night. No. I did not learn. To be quite honest, I usually forget that they are down. I always have my windows down because of KC. Transporting a dog to and from work every day for 2 years plus multiple trips to the creek and pool has taken its toll on my car. There is a smell. A distinctly KC smell. As a result I like to constantly aerate my car. It’s what I do.
So you might be wondering about my car right now. Are the windows down? Are they up…? They are down. All the way down. Can’t go any further down, down.
It is also in the garage.
POTD!!!
I have expected to find Matt somewhere in this shot…
KCPOTD!!!
Hey! Get your bitch-ass over here and finish weeding my yard! (said in a Cartman-esque voice).
POTD!!!

KCPOTD

POTD!!!
Driving by the pedestrian bridge just taking some pictures. Having trouble focusing… Like the shot anyway.
KCPOTD!!!
KC is just full of love and smiles. And farts. Love her.

Crawfish are super creepy and hard to eat though I didn't eat them because they are crawfish.
Before I begin; please read the photo caption. It is funny. Thank you.
Now on to the important bits. I went out after work today with some friends to celebrate a made up holiday called “End of Spring Pictures. BooYah!” I didn’t make up the name of the holiday I swear. Really. Ok, yeah I did. We all had a great time and it was very nice to just relax and hang out. Good times. Good times. To those of you that stuck it out ’til the end – thank you.
Also, on a side note, I am going to try and reopen comments tonight but if I get one more spam for Vi*gra I will scream and shut them off again. Good luck to you all and may you not be blocked by the supposed spam blocker I just installed.

Good Pour
KCPOTD!!!
This is a horrible photo for so many reasons and I do appologize for letting it get posted to the site. I also appologize for its general existence. I went out after work today with some friends and stayed out way past my tolerance. The result: I had a great night but was not a good photographer by the time I got home. However! This photo is a great illustration of why pop-up flashes are bad. I had a discussion with one of my friends about it but was not able to produce any solid proof. Until Now. Also, it is really hard to make KC stand still when she is going cross-eyed from cookie on the nose. I am a horrible KC owner.
